this year's birthday had indeed lots of surprises as well as irritating moments. well let me start out with the bad... clear the karma from all the negative energy and let the positive qi flow into my being.
like last year, there were some problems at work (when has there not been??). last year was more or less getting bullied by the office bitch - which bring me to the pt of why i don't just flare up at her. i guess i'm afraid. i'm not a confrontational person by nature, and i usually can't think of something good to retort. (believe i have mentioned this before..) i usually have to fester on that moment for a while before coming up with something good and then wondering why i didn't say that earlier. and then i'll spend the next hour fantasizing how it would be like if i got the person real good. anyways, this year, i made made quite the huge boo boo (which i can't discuss here... TOP SECRET you know..) so i spent the entire thurs - sat worrying about the outcome of the problem. nerve wrecking i tell u! i actually spent the first 10 mins of my bday in the office and the better part of the rest of my bday in the office again! PLEASE GIVE ME PAY RISE! actually, please give ALL OF US EXCEPT MOTHER HEN A PAY RISE.
this year everyone is busy with their lives - exams, work, relationships. and coupled with the differences in our lives, we have spaced apart more than ever. but i am really touched by you guys who have messaged/call/msn to wish me. really touched... THANK YOU GUYS! for making a seemingly bleak birthday turn out to be a heartwarming affair. esp thanks to jason, ma 哥哥, norman and vithya - for taking the time off to spend it with me.. for the great company and food... and for the surprise phone call from a dear friend, vithya (i hereby declare that i would make the catch up session come true).
so thank you!
oh oh oh!! majestic bar is a damn awesome place to drink at!!! it's in chinatown if you guys are wondering.. but yeah.. great service and friendly staff (prob cos there were only a few groups there) and unique drinks! they have a wide range of alcohol, a bit pricy but definitely worth it! deco was great... esp the 3rd level (which wasn't open yet when we went) they basically placed little light bulbs into the ceiling to replicate a starry sky... and there was a cute little girl figure holding onto a silver string that was attached to a glittery silver star. very nice concept.
